Assalammu alaikum,

Somewhere on the South Side of Chicago, a mother is preparing rice and beans for the third night in a row. Not because she wants to but because that’s all she has.
At Masjid Al Farooq, we know these families.
We see them every month at our grocery giveawayssome in nursing scrubs after a long shift, others pushing strollers, some too proud to speak but grateful for the bag we hand over.
This Eid al-Adha, we want to go beyond pantry staples.
As part of our own Qurbani initiative, the masjid will purchase and slaughter fresh lambs on behalf of donors and distribute the meat directly to the families we already serve.
No international wait times. No middlemen. Just real, local impact.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 before Eid, enough to fulfill every need on our list.
